Trevy James is a genre-blurring singer, songwriter, rapper, and keyboardist whose music fuses roots reggae, lovers rock, vintage R&B, yacht rock, and conscious hip-hop into a sound that’s uniquely his own and brings love and its complexities to the forefront.

Anchored by Berklee College of Music-trained abilities on keyboards, Trevy James is known for his unique performance style of both singing and rapping while simultaneously handling keyboard duties. Since 2017, he has been a prominent figure in San Diego's reggae and R&B/soul communities, performing both as a solo artist and with the bands Psydecar and Heaping Teaspoon.

Building on these foundations, Trevy James stands at the forefront of a lovers rock revival, entering his most intentional chapter yet with his return to the solo side on the 2025 reggae LP Grey In The Beard. Centered on themes of love, perseverance, and transformation, the record showcases the unique fusion of reggae, R&B, and soul that has become Trevy’s signature sound
